Spacer Pads For Bottom of Vessel Chambers

These round Teflon pads are used to increase the spacing between the bottom of the vessel chamber and the microscope stage. If you are having problems maintaining temperature using a self-heated chamber with a TC-09 temperature controller, you may need to increase the insulation layer between your vessel chamber and the microscope stage. These Teflon pads are ideally suited for this purpose. Each package contains 12 Teflon spacer pads.

NOTE: When increasing the distance between the bottom of the vessel chamber and the microscope stage using these Teflon pads, it is possible that you may bring the vessel specimen out of the working distance of your microscope objective. Each Teflon pad adds ~ 0.01” (0.25 mm) distance between the vessel chamber and the microscope stage. This increased distance is not an issue for long working distance objectives, but may be problematic for high numerical aperture objective lenses used with some applications (e.g. confocal).
